Miracles, blessings and other good stuff

We  have a granddaughter who has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  She was diagnosed when she was only two and she is now 8 years old.  She is very athletic and active and thanks to the miracle of modern medicine (methotrexate plus remicade infusions), she has been able to do anything that she wants.   But she has had one of the side effects of JRA--Uveitis--which is an inflammation in her eyes.  Even with the remicade treatments plus eye drops twice a day he doctors have struggled to treat it and keep it under control.   It can cause blindness and we have been very concerned about that.  In March we decided as a family to join together in fasting and prayer for Izzie.  Today we got the news that her eyes are clear!  And that is without the remicade infusions or drops!!  I weep with gratitude to my Heavenly Father for this small miracle in answer to our prayers.    Essentially for the first time Izzie is considered to be in a remission--only needing the methotrexate weekly.  It is such a blessing.

We love you so much Izzie.
